Join us in working to prevent violence in our community.
A new version of CCS' annual “Dine Out” event will debut this year; Dine Out to Prevent Violence. This new, month-long campaign will feature several events partnering with local eateries to provide education and information about how community members can get involved in preventing violence in our area.
Join us on October 1st from 5-8 PM at 68 S. Main St. (Parking lot between the Soda Nerd and Stratford Court) for our Dine Out Food Truck Roundup. Come enjoy a fun, family friendly night with a live DJ (Batt-Mobile Audio and Video Productions), games, prizes and order dinner and treats from local vendors including The Soda Nerd, The Corndog Company, 2Rivers Catering & Food Truck, and High Voltage BBQ.
Our October 22nd Community Education Night at Pizza Cart has been CANCELLED due to COVID-19.
Find our educational materials throughout the month of October at other participating restaurants including the Pastry Pub, Pizza Cart, All American Diner and the Main Street Dairy Queen.
In Utah, 1 in 3 women and 1 in 5 men will experience physical violence from an intimate partner in their lifetime. With your help, CCS can work to prevent this kind of violence from ever happening in the first place and realize our vision of Communities Free of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault.
CCS will end the month with our annual candlelight vigil held on October 29th at 6PM in the Heritage Center Conference Room 7 to honor the lives of those who lost their lives due to domestic violence in Utah this year. All are invited to attend and masks are required. Join us to mourn the lives of those lost and to commit to preventing these types of violence in our community. This event will also be livestreamed on CCS’ Facebook page.
