This is a time to raise awareness and start important conversations about healthy relationships.

By working together, we can help teens recognize healthy relationships, set boundaries, and seek support when needed. Thank you for being a part of this important effort!
The role of the Community Development and Education Department at Canyon Creek Services is critical in realizing our organizational vision of “Communities Free of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault.” One of our key initiatives is to stop domestic and sexual violence from ever happening in the first place and to improve our social response to these types of violence.
Every 73 seconds, someone in the United States is sexually assaulted. In the state of Utah, 1 in 3 women and 1 in 5 men will experience domestic violence at some point in their lifetime. Awareness and prevention efforts at CCS are aimed at reducing the prevalence of these forms of violence and promoting health and safety in our communities.
Our programming is directed at cultivating environments where violence is not tolerated, challenging unhealthy social norms that contribute to violence perpetration, promoting gender equity, and strengthening families and relationships. Our department utilizes a public health approach to violence prevention in support of this cause.
Violence is preventable! For information or resources on how you can prevent violence and support our efforts at CCS, contact our team at prevention@canyoncreekservices.org. If you are interested in a free class or presentation from our team at your school, company, or organization, please let us know!
