Summer can be an especially challenging time for children who have experienced domestic violence: school is out, routines are disrupted, and safe spaces may be harder to find. That’s why this summer, we are proud to launch a series of vibrant programs designed to uplift and empower the children and youth receiving services at Canyon Creek. These initiatives offer more than just fun and adventure-they provide much-needed moments of joy, stability, and healing during an otherwise uncertain time. These programs will include things like:
Yoga workshops- helping kids practice mindfulness and learn to regulate their emotions.
Art classes- practicing self expression and advocacy, communication, and stress relief
Outdoor adventures- promoting teamwork and leadership for kids
Reading workshops- teaching self-confidence, empathy, compassion, and responsibility.

To bring these engaging activities to life, we invite the entire community to come together in support. Your involvement can help create unforgettable experiences that promote healing, growth, and connection, ensuring that every child can thrive in a safe and nurturing environment.
